A proposed sanctuary for terminally ill patients and elderly persons without support — dignified end-of-life care within the community Aidah loved.
Why this matters.
In rural communities, the terminally ill and the elderly without family support are often the most isolated. Many spend their last weeks without pain relief, spiritual care or someone to sit beside them.
Aidah's life answered exactly this loneliness — at the beginning of life. The Palliative Care Home extends her practice to the end of life.
What we are building toward.
A small, beautiful and human-scaled home in Kashangura Parish providing trained palliative nursing, pastoral support, family accommodation and community-led visitation.
It will be operated by trained nurses and community caregivers, in partnership with Hospice Africa Uganda and Ibanda District Health Office.

- 3Phased fundraising with government, NGO and private donor alignment.
- 4Construction in two phases — clinical wing first, family wing second.
- 5Recruitment and training of clinical and caregiver staff.
- 6Soft opening with community dialogue and donor reporting.
